2007 — New LIGHTED “Entering Minutemen Territory” Sign
If you remember from our 2006 Minutemen Territory Sign replacement, Our project organizer, Scott Hardcastle, and the CBAA have now added lighting to the sign. It’s proudly lit each night—and it surely looms large when teams come visiting our school for competition!
2007 — CBAA & The NEW Marching Minutemen Golf Cart
A call for help and donations were made to the community—the CBAA and many others responded. The Marching Minutemen needed to purchase a golf cart to use yearly for transporting heavy instruments, props, director stands, and occasionally people at each of the home games and any competitions during the year. The cart had been rented for many years, and it was time to get the band their OWN cart! CBAA pitched in with these other organizations: The Lions Club, Rotary, CB Kiwanis Club, Cocoa Beach Business Improvement Council (BIC), and the Bob Fritz Family. It has been vehicle-wrapped highlighting the various organizations (see picture), and it was presented to the public during CBHS’s first football home game, September 14, 2007.
2007 — CBAA’s Yearly Donation to Cape View Elementary
Each year for the past 5 years, the CBAA has donated anywhere from $250 to $500 worth of school and clinic supplies to Cape View Elementary in Cape Canaveral, FL. This year was no different and the amount donated was $370—$250 from the CBAA and $120 from individual donations. Our Cape View Liaison, Vice President Mia Hosemann Croley, purchased and delivered the supplies to Principal Sharon Horton the week before school began.
In addition to the above amount, Charley Priddy (CBAA’s 1st President and current Board Member) personally donated $1,200 worth of school supplies to both Cape View Elementary and Roosevelt Elementary. This is the 4th year Charley has done this. Way to go, Charley!
2007 — CBAA’s Game Banner for CBHS Fields
Another way to support our school was to purchase a banner that will be displayed at all home games for football, soccer, softball and baseball. The banner was sold to us by the CB Football Boosters and they will make sure it is displayed at all the proper fields during the year.
