Juli Shroble Tucker"Prez" Updates for you

January 2008

Welcome to 2008!

I’ve got a good feeling about this year for the CBAA … a feeling that we’re going to grow even larger than we did last year (266 new registered alumni in 2007), a feeling that we’re going to be able to raise more money and a feeling that we’ll get more alumni involvement … YEP, a good feeling, for sure!

REUNIONS PLANNED ??

Be sure – Classes of 1998, 1988 and 1978 - to contact us as soon as you start planning your Reunions this year. We’ll post any information you send as quickly as we can! Class of 1968 is planning a one-day “gathering” this year for our 40th (OUCH!) – info to be posted soon on this web page. Send any and all information to me. Thank you.

THE BEACH WALK

In November 2007, the CBAA assumed full administration of The Beach Walk at Minutemen Stadium. We’re thrilled and things are on-a-roll already. A blasting of 15 pavers will be happening in a few weeks, we’re making some good changes for future growth and Coach Piccalo and Mr. Provancha are keeping it all green and beautiful. There is going to be some construction done soon at Minutemen Stadium’s front entrance and when it’s all complete – we’ll be sure and post pictures of the “new look”. Paver pictures are posted HERE – be sure and look for yours – they’re listed alphabetically.

A new Beach Walk order form and template are available now for downloading. We’ve added the availability of emblems – and the contractor has literally hundreds to choose from – that can be placed on pavers of all sizes ($10 additional). Our goal this year is to fill the Beach Walk all the way to the Home Stands … so, check out the BEACH WALK page and order your permanent place in CBHS history today.

CBAA Blog

This is basically just a cool, fast way of posting happenings here in Cocoa Beach, CBHS, sports, and all kinds of other interesting things here in this area of Central Brevard. If you wish to have something posted – anything within reason – send it to “yours truly” and we’ll get it up there for you.

UPCOMING REUNIONS

Send us your info, contact information and other pertinent items and we’ll post it on our REUNIONS page. Even if you’re just starting to get things organized – drop us a note and it’ll go on the page and help you get your classmates organized to help. I know the Class of 1968 is planning a one-day gathering, and Class of 1978 is also getting started … what about Class of 1988 and Class of 1998 … send it here and we’ll help as much as we can.

2007 REUNIONS

After the hoopla has settled, you’ve had a chance to look at all the pictures, remember just who exactly attended and you’d like to post a report with pictures … send it to us and we’ll add it to the web page along with the other reunions held in the past years.

DONATIONS TO THE CBAA

Many thanks to those of you who’ve donated to our non-profit organization this past year. Your donations help to buy supplies for Cape View Elementary (for the students & clinic), we re-did the “Entering Minutemen Territory” sign and had it lighted, help advertise your Alumni Association, and help us to volunteer at school events and local events with our CBAA volunteers to let folks know we’re here, viable and willing to work! We’re hoping in the near future to be able to start funding scholarships – but we’ve got to build up the “kitty” before that can happy. Make your donation today and you’ll be added to our special SUPPORTERS page.

Volunteers are always welcome at our monthly meetings, a copy of our bylaws is also available at your request, and feel free to contact any one of your CBAA Officers or Board of Directors.

Alumni Pride!
