AND—I want to assure you all that none of your email addresses were offered, given or sold to any entity – in the past, or present or will be in the future. We also do not endorse nor recommend this Internet organization.

2007 … WOW! What a year for the CBAA …
- MINUTEMEN CAUSEWAY: We cleaned twice this year and the roadway looks wonderful. AND – the “Entering Minutemen Causeway” sign was totally refurbished, redesigned and lighted - thanks to Scott Hardcastle & CBHS Friends.
- CAPE VIEW CAFETERIA SOUND SYSTEM: One of our first projects for the CBAA was completed and a plaque presented to Principal Sharon Horton. We are proud to have Cape View Elementary as one of the schools under the CBAA’s wings, with Mia Hosemann as our School Liaison.
- THE BEACH BELL: This new addition to the CBJSHS Commons was re-donated to the school by CBAA Board Member Charley Priddy. The mystery of where the bell had been and how we got it back is highlighted on our web site and the CBHS Minutemen Football web site – sound effects and all! The Beach Bell is rung every time during 1st period when something wonderful has been achieved, accomplished and won by any CBJSHS student. Many thanks to Charley Priddy and Scott Hardcastle for getting it proudly mounted, ready to be rung every morning.
- CBHS YEARBOOKS DONATION: Ms. Layla O’Hare, Yearbook Sponsor and ’90 graduate kindly donated 28 issues of the yearbooks to the CBAA. We have scanned these and offer them for sale on our web site. We have also had some more donated (we’re up to 34). Still need: 76,77,79,84,85,90,93,97,98,99.
- CBAA PAID MEMBERSHIPS: These were temporarily discontinued until further notice. All paid members were contacted and they unanimously donated their remaining member fees back to the CBAA. All CBAA Charter Members are listed on our web page and will be forever, as these were the folks who supported us from the very beginning!
- CBAA’s NEWLY DESIGNED WEB PAGE: Well, it’s a BIG hit and we’ve been going gangbusters since it debuted in September 2006. As of December 13, we have found 3,039 graduates and have had 250+ alumnus register on-line! Lots more to come and new things will be added as quickly as possible. Many thanks to our CBAA Webmaster, Linda Bates MacCleave, Class of 1965.
- CBAA & CBJSHS FOOTBALL BOOSTERS: We have formed a close association with this organization and have pitched in and helped as often as possible. How? We donated 3 gift baskets to their 1st Annual Casino Night fund-raiser and CBAA volunteers manned the Silent Auction. We also purchased a 4’x 8’ banner to be proudly displayed at all home football and soccer games. We also purchased a full-page ad in this year’s football programs. GO BEACH!
- CBAA & THE MINUTEMEN BAND CART: We also donated to the new cart-wrapped golf cart for the Marching Minutemen Band. It’s absolutely beautiful and we were one of many donators for this needed and well-used item for the band.
The 19th Annual Alumni Football Game
The 19th Annual Alumni Football Game was a HUGE success. 45 players reported and played that night. Coach Tony Piccalo divided them into the Blue Team and the White Team. Scoring is quite unusual – made this way to ease the pain inflicted on the players! And lots of fun was had by all who participated. A nice sized crowd showed up to cheer them on and the CBAA was there in full-force with our special set-up --- Beach Walk info, CD Yearbook info, and volunteers handing out CBAA business cards and telling alumni about our fantastic web page!
Thank you ALL for your continued support, thanks to all the new folks who’ve just joined us and thanks to everyone for spreading the word about your “official” web site for all CBHS graduates. We’re here – we’re not going anywhere – and this is YOUR web site!
Have a wonderful, healthy and prosperous 2008. May God Bless.
ALUMNI PRIDE!
Juli Shroble Tucker, President
