THANKSGIVING WEEKEND ACTIVITIES

Already? But we haven’t even survived summer yet!!

Three Reunions: Yep. Three! The Classes of 1998, 1988 and 1978 are all having their 10th, 20th and 30th respective reunions that weekend. See our REUNIONS page for more specific information. Also want to mention that this is the first time in our school’s 44 years history that we’ve had FOUR – yes, four – reunions in one year. The Class of 1968 is having their 40th Reunion on June 14th – they wanted to beat the Thanksgiving rush.

19th Annual Alumni Football Game : Friday night, November 28th at 6PM at Minutemen Stadium will be the infamous alumni football game – led by Head Football Coach, Tony Piccalo. The game is a good gathering place for reunions in town that weekend, and for all the local CBHS folks who want to enjoy a wonderful Friday night out. Contact Coach Piccalo at: Piccalo.Anthony@Brevardschools.org or visit the Minutemen Football web page http://www.minutemenfootball.com for more specific details and to sign up.

3rd Annual Alumni Baseball Game . Saturday, Novermber 29 th at 1:00PM will be the 3 rd Alumni Baseball Game, hosted by Coach Rich Coleman CBHS Head Baseball Coach. We have an alumni volunteer group who is assisting Coach Coleman – their email addresses are listed here – if you want to contact them directly for info, or to sign up and play. Our 2008 Alumni Baseball Committee is: Charley Priddy charley67@sbcglobal.net; Dave Saltus Bisonnette golfnutRU@austin.rr.com , Jimmy Birch jbirch1@cfl.rr.com, Mike Thomas TGTB4G@aol.com and Neil Spencer ratman69@cfl.rr.com

Space Coast Art Festival : And as always and forever – the Art Show in downtown Cocoa Beach … don’t want to miss that!

 NEW BUSINESS SUPPORTERS PROGRAM

Be watching soon for a way to help the CBAA as a Business Supporter. We have three different levels for contributions – and wonderful opportunities that come with that funding given to the CBAA. Why not advertise your business to your high school classmates, get a tax write-off (all donations are tax-deductible), and support your alumni association and our special projects that are on-going. Click HERE for more program information.

SPECIAL NOTICE ABOUT CBHSALUMNI. COM

Just another quick note to let you know – if you’ve received a notice for updating your email address for a cbhsalumni web site – that this is NOT us! We are the only official alumni association recognized by CBJSHS. Our web site address ends in .ORG –not- .COM …

 MINUTEMEN WALL MEMORIAL

Here soon on the home page – a way for alumni to donate to the re-erection of this historic wall that has stood in front of CBHS since 1969! During the renovations of the front of the school, the wall was mistakenly (ahem) torn down. So … what better time to put up a new one – and it’s going to end up in a better location! Right in FRONT of the school’s new flagpoles – all lit up and looking awesome. Originally donated and built by the Class of 1969, it was re-designed and re-worked by the Class of 1999 … well, now – it’s ready to be resurrected by ALL of us – the CBAA! Be sure and add your “nickel’s worth” to this exciting project spearheaded by Scott Hardcastle ’71 – of “ Entering Minutemen Territory” sign fame (and one of the Minutemen Award winners listed on the Minutemen Wall Memorial)!

SMALL MINUTEMAN MOSAIC – NEW LOCATION

Continuing from the paragraph above – on the re-designed Minutemen Wall done by the Class of 1999 was a beautiful red, white and blue mosaic of a minuteman holding an American flag. This is about 3’ wide x 4” tall. This mosaic will be mounted on a painted stainless-steel frame and placed directly above the new front main entrance of the school. Again, mounted and placed on the building by Mr. Scott Hardcastle ’71.

 SURFBOARD RAFFLE

This is still going to happen – it will be appearing soon on this web page! Be the proud owner of a 6’ Pat O’Hare red/white/blue surfboard autographed by 35 of the Eastern Surfing Hall of Fame surfers. Tickets will be $5 each and only 1,000 will be sold – that’s pretty good odds – 1 in 1,000 to win this gorgeous one-of-a-kind surfboard.

Alumni Pride!
