Actor/Writer Cullen Douglas, known during his years at CBHS as Douglas Baumbach is most recognized these days for his various television appearances on such shows as "Prison Break," "Deadwood," and "Scrubs". He next appears in a very special role on the critically lauded "Grey's Anatomy." He stars in the soon to be released big-screen thriller "Shuttle," appears in a cameo in the highly anticipated thriller "Deadland," and is currently co-starring in Universal Pictures' "Ace Ventura 3" due in theatres in the Spring of 2008.
Douglas' other film appearances include "Sunshine State" alongside the late Alan King, and "Love Liza" opposite Oscar© winner Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Douglas also tours the country with his acclaimed, award winning solo play "Afraid To Look Down." Told with unflinching honesty and humor, the solo explores the journey Cullen took in becoming a first-time father to his oldest son born with Down syndrome.
Cullen studied at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, Florida School of the Arts, and completed The Acting Internship Program at New Stage Theatre in Jackson, MS. It was there that he originated the role of Zephon in Eden - a World Premier in the Eudora Welty New Play Series.
He received a "Best Supporting Actor," Lillie Stoates - a regional theatre award, and shares a "Special Recognition Award" with his wife Rachel - from The Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida, for helping create greater awareness.
