INTERIMS ARE COMING
Interim reports which will show you the current third nine weeks grades for your students will be given out on Friday, February 22. Please consider touching base with the teachers during Parent-Teacher Conferences which will be Thursday, February 28 from 6:30-8:30 PM. Please call the school office to make an appointment with the teacher of your choice. The beginning of a semester is a good time to see how we can all work together to help students improve and gain more success in their classes.

CHORUS STUDENTS MAKE HONOR CHOIR
Six of our students have been named as members of one of the American Choral Director’s Association Southern Division Honor Choirs. These students auditioned against approximately 3000 other students from the 11 southeastern states.

BAND STUDENTS ARE MASTERS
The Florida Band Masters Solo and Ensemble Competition saw 26 Cocoa Beach students qualify for the State Solo and Ensemble Festival. In addition 86 students received Superior (first place) ratings. The Cocoa Beach Winter Guard team also received Superior ratings for the first time in five years. Directors, coaches and students are to be congratulated for this fine showing.
A special honor–the Winter Guard team was chosen to perform pregame for the Orlando Magic on February 19. The team is coached by Lindsey Brooker.

ODYSSEY OF THE MIND HEADED FOR STATE LEVEL
CBHS Odyssey of the Mind team competed at the Regional tournament held at BCC on and qualified for the State tournament which will be held in April at UCF. Congratulations go to students Kendall Lightle, Natalie Odisho, Olivia Bednarz, John Pipek, Robert Kneessy, Gabby Wolk, and coach Dale Vicos.

SPORTS UPDATE
Winter Sports are finished with the following results:
Boys Basketball finished 22-5 and won the Cape Coast Conference. Boys Soccer finished third in the Cape Coast Conference and were Regional semi-finalists. The Wrestling program produced a State Qualifier, tenth grader Nick Watson.
Spring sports are taking the field. Middle School Track athletes have 5 home meets starting February 19. Softball, Baseball, Varsity Track, and Boys and Girls Tennis are just beginning their spring seasons.

SUPPORT RELAY FOR LIFE
Parents!! Would you like to get involved in this year’s Relay for Life to support the American Cancer Society? The first Relay in Brevard County for this year is being held at Cocoa Beach High on March 14 and 15.
