From Coach Piccalo, CBHS Head Football Coach
Good afternoon Minutemen, it’s been a little while since our last email out to our alumni. I sure hope you are all doing great. Here’s a run down of what’s been going on since the alumni game at the end of November:
4 of our players were selected to play in the Brevard County North/South all-star game:
Joe Yagatich
Dominic Sabatino
Anthony Garofalo
Mitch Miorelli
Joe was also selected to play in the Central Florida All-Star game played at Lake Brantley HS.
The Florida Today All-Space Coast team came out around the first of the year. The following players were selected:
2nd team defense:
Joe Yagatich
Anthony Garofalo
2nd team offense:
Cullen Brown
Joe Yagatich will sign next Wednesday with Cumberland University (TN) to play football. He has received a “full” scholarship for the 2008 season. Our remaining college eligible seniors will attend the senior recruit fair in mid-February; hopefully we’ll be able to get a couple more off to school.

Our off-season workouts are in full swing. We had our max-outs last week and although our numbers were down, I saw a ton of good things. Because we haven’t been able to power lift since last April, we’re a little behind but with a senior heavy group, we should be able to make big gains.
Our weight room REALLY looks awesome. We spent all of Xmas break repainting it and I am very proud of the look. I will have pictures taken very soon and I will send them out.
Speaking of facilities…. we are about 90% sure we will have a facelift done to the entrance way of our stadium this spring. We are slated to get a brand new ticket booth / entrance way and brand new bath rooms all along the east front of the stadium. We hope to hear for sure soon with construction to begin in April.
I will have in hand, the complete collection of pictures from the alumni game, hopefully by tomorrow. We have some already but we will get a ton more plus team pics this week. I will have these pictures uploaded onto the web site asap.
